I once read a book by Dr. Seuss that talked about "The Waiting Place" - a place where all people do is sit and wait... and wait... and wait. What else do they do? Do they do their homework with one eye on the clock? Do they stare into oblivion? Do they cry? Do they pace? Do they do all the things they wished they had done the day before? Do they miss people? Or do they sit there, alone in the world, without noticing? Why do we wait? And is it a sin to wait? Is it still considered "waiting" if you are doing something else while you wait?
What am I waiting for? My husband to get home. My eyes to close. My body to give in. My friends to call. Motivation to jumpstart me. School to get out.
